This Standalone Luke deck is meant to be the master of manipulation... killing enemies by drawing them while at the Dream Gate, or locking them down behind a barricade. And plus moving clues/enemies around like they are candy.

This deck really works best if you are lead investigator... or at least hurts your brain less.

=======================================================

Enemy Management:

=======================================================

Scrying

This is the top card for enemy management, use its free action to scout the top 3 cards. If you see an enemy that no one wants to deal with. Position it so that you will draw it, then pop into your Dream World after the investigation phase so during the mythos phase when you draw it, it will be discarded. Works against Elites and Non elites;)

See 2 enemies your team doesn't want to deal with? Play Drawn to the Flame after popping into your Dream World (on an adjacent location with clues), then when your gate box readies at the end of the turn, pop in there again for drawing the next enemy. Requires 2 charges... but you can deal with 2 enemies (insta kill) in one turn. You get 2 clues and kill 2 enemies! (I know there is some debate on how Drawn to the Flame works when playing it in the Dream Gate... but I follow the interpretation that the enemies attempts to spawn there).

Barricade

Another top card for enemy management. Try to find a location you can block off, and play the barricade so it blocks off that area. Preferably a location with only 1 entrance/exit and one you don't have to go to anymore. Preferably trapping an enemy or enemies there!

Banish

Now.. if you have your Barricade down... here comes this handy card called Banish. I think you know what to do with this card, banish that enemy right behind that barricade, and now that enemy is permanently locked down and won't even be shuffled back into the encounter deck.

Mind Wipe

Hunter enemies bothering you? Just play this on them from a location away, prevents them from hunting to you. Keeping them in one location so you can maybe get more enemies in one location for you big Storm of Spirits

Storm of Spirits

You can use this in combo with Banish and Mind Wipe and Barricade to try to ensure you get the most bang for you buck. Move all the enemies to one spot, the smash them hard with Storm of Spirits.

=======================================================

Investigating:

======================================================= Sixth Sense

Going to be one of your best cards for investigating. Especially if you combo it with Vantage Point to move clues into your Dream-Gate. Now you can start investigating locations as if your shroud was 0 (if you draw a special token)!!

Vantage Point

Great card to play when you move to your dream gate to snag an easy clue.

=======================================================

Recharging the Gate Box:

=======================================================

Enraptured and Seal of the Elder Sign are great for recharging your gate box, so you can keep doing Luke things.

=======================================================

Utility:

======================================================= Pathfinder is great for moving around everywhere for free and managing and playing the cards you need to play easier.

Eureka! will help you find combos.

Dayana Esperence

Wow there are so many good targets for Dayana Esperence in my opinion. You can play Banishon her, to keep banishing enemies to your Barricade area all day long. You can play Storm of Spirits on her to keep smashing for 3 damage, over and over and over again!!! You can play Mind Wipe on her to truly lock down a hunter enemy almost permanently.

De Vermis Mysteriis

Want to play Storm of Spirits Even more??? Want to play Banish even more? Barricade somehow get in your discard pile?? If I understand it right, you could play all these cards without taking attacks of opportunity that they would normally incur, since you can target an adjacent location.

=======================================================

Summary

=======================================================

This deck is full of great combos, I don't think you will be hurting to find something that you can combo with. Some enemy you can just discard, or trap. Or clues you can snatch up really quick. This is even Taboo friendly, even though I didn't build it with that in mind.

Nice deck! Especially dig the Barricade- Banish combo. Cool!

I will definitely try this deck on my next campaing! However, I have a question with Barricade. It says 'Non-Elite enemies cannot move into attached location', but it doesn't say 'Non-Elite enemies cannot move out of the attached location'. So the combo with Banish actually doesn't work, isn't it?
