Hello all,
I will be slinging this 29xp Skids in to a 3 or 4 player run of Rougarou tomorrow (the 4th of Feb.) I have no clue who I'll be playing with or what difficulty we will be playing on.
If you delightful people wouldn't mind casting your seasoned eyes over this deck it would be greatly appreciated. The only things I'm really locked in on are the typewriter/sleight of hand combo and lots of cash generation (I always find Skids most effective when I'm rinsing his special ability for all its worth.) Anything else is up for reconsideration.

Feb 03, 2018Thanks for the thoughts! Lone wolf is going. it'll barely fire. I'm just every used to playing 1 or 2 player. Replaced by sleight of hand (which I thought I'd included. Oops.) Had a nice chat elsewhere about xav for Leo and I'm taking Leo. Hang the willpower risk. There are a couple of nasty treacheries in rougarou that could sting (ripples, swamp), but I'm feeling wild. I may ditch the flashlight and lockpicks for dynamite. I'm going to, perhaps foolishly, assume there will be someone else seekery. I'm a fan of combat training. The Skids in my current Dunwich run makes great use of it. So I think it's staying. ... (I had a steak and some salad) |
Feb 05, 2018Good Evening, Shaun! Cursed and Insane Rex writing here. I did not expect to see your deck on this site, so i decided to create an account and comment! The deck is great. You and Jim punked Rougarou like nobody's business. Poor lycanthrope could not stand a chance against a trusty switchblade/shiv. I really enjoy miracle turn type decks like these and will be certainly aspiring to build a similar rogue deck at some point. It was really nice to play with you guys! In retrospect Jim + trumpet would've been the best candidate for the curse, but I didn't want to spoil the scenario! My mvp for that game was Jocelyn's Yorrick. She played him so well. Anything that needed doing, she could do. Always a full hand of cards, always in the right place. Really understated, strong play. Are you on the mythosbusters discord channel? Your deck is leaning so hard into typewriter. Up the ante IMO. Prepared for the worst x2. Maybe even contraband.
Lone Wolf is much harder to use in 3-4 player though on Rougarou it could work.
Yes, dynamite blast is the thing for that scenario.
I think Leo is better than xavier. Not a scenario where you'll take a ton of horror.
Combat training is so meh.
