Hello,

First published deck for me...

It is set up for Dunwich which I played when it first came out with another player. This time it is “Return to…”, and solo. I plan to start with the Miskatonic part, of course, and the deck is themed around Kate's life in the final days of her studies.

Ms Winthrop has been working on something big with Doctors Christopher and Maleson, which has involved a lot of late nights, strange chemical mixtures and even stranger flora (which she has named Philippe). Her work has required an equal measure of skill and (un)eventful work days. But, she has also benefited from a supportive entourage.

Mimi (Dr. Christopher is an old family friend, and like an uncle to Kate in all but name…) has sent Kate up with her own lab and chemistry apparatus.

Dr. Maleson, or as she calls him Billy, has given her a strange handgun (that he has already set up to “neutralize” all living matter) just in case Philippe grows a little too big… She usually keeps it tucked away in the inside pocket of the Lab Coat her mom gave her last Christmas. But, she has started to hear strange noises following her around the campus after dark, so she now takes that strange weapon with her whether she goes.

Kate has started to wonder whether she has pushed the boundaries of science a little too far and delved a little too deep… (2 san Trauma) even her dreams have been strange of late, and on Billy’s advice, she has started to note done what she remembers, maybe it will help her as she works with Philippe.

I’ll let you know how it goes….

Love this write up and it looks like a fun build to play. My only concern is economy. The Delves and Refines eat a lot of actions that I never have time for in true solo. Personally, I would swap the Refines for 2x Crack the Case.

Thanks.

Yeah, crack the case was in the "final 45 cards" - it just didn't make the cut. Though that was before I added the In the thick and boosted the gun... I might swap it out (though I have drawn the basic weakness now...)
