Built with "Limited" environment cardpool including Circle Undone, Dream Eaters, and Edge of the Earth expansions. Feel free to add cards from other expansions if you find one that seems interesting.

ROLE:

Primarily cluever, but fights in a pinch

TOMES:

Your Signature card Livre d'Eibon, and Astronomical Atlas are a powerful draw/recurrence engine that should be brought online ASAP

In the Thick of it pays for the 3 exp cost of Astronomical Atlas by taking 2 permanent horror

ALLIES/SOAK:

Research Librarian searches the deck for a key Tome of your choice; Astounding Revelation makes Research Librarian essentially free, and it takes a damage/horror for you

Laboratory Assistant is just combined damage/horror soak and draw

Dr. Milan Christopher is one of the strongest cards in the game, giving infinite resources and a stat boost on top, so much that it was given an (optional) once-per-turn rebalance; the problem is you only have 1 Ally slot which can be fixed with an upgrade

RESOURCES:

Dr. Milan as above

Astounding Revelation gives free resources when search with Research Librarian or Practice Makes Perfect; if accidentally drawn, your signature card can put it back

Cryptic Writings can be seen on top of your deck, so you can activate its free play with a basic draw action; alternatively commit for 2 icons when investigating

Crack the Case can support the team with actionless resources

TOPDECKS:

Read the Signs and Working a Hunch both can be easily played from the top of your deck with discount from your once-per-turn ability; ; alternatively commit Hunch for 2 icons when investigating

PANIC BUTTON:

Occult Invocation does emergency damage to an enemy; it can also toss allies that are just sitting in your hand once you already have Christopher and your Tomes

SKILLS:

Practice Makes Perfect and Written in the Stars let you use skill cards multiple times; 6 "Practiced" cards gives an average ~90% chance for a hit with PMP, although it's difficult to include more than 6 strong options with a limited card pool

Deduction and Perception are the key cards to try to recur with the Tome engine, giving an extra clue/card per test respectively

KEY UPGRADES:

Charisma to prevent conflict with allies in the laboratory

Occult Theory gives very large stat boosts, and is a Practiced skill that also works with Practice Makes Perfect

Foresight compresses multiple actions, acting as a stronger version of your ability when you can already see the top card of your deck

Divination for more clue compression
