This deck is designed for both solo and multilayer. The starter version is below. Basically you want Milan Christopher early so he can finance your early investigations. You can use mists of r'lyeh for early evasion if necessary, but you will eventually be fighting. Mists is just a backup plan.
Once you level the deck, you'll be placing "I've got a plan!", "shortcut", and "ever vigilant" under "stick to the plan" for easy access.
"I've got a plan" will be used if you haven't been able to pull a weapon and need to kill something quickly. You can also save it for the boss fight if you want.
Ever vigilant will help you with some action economy to set up your board (Dr. Milan, painkiller, liquid courage, a weapon, foolishness, etc. ).
Once Foolishness comes out, use "fearless" to power your willpower test from liquid courage, thereby healing foolishness of his madness in one move and getting your +1 to all stats.
Once you get a machete out, you want to attach "reliable" to it. If you can get 2 on one machete, definitely do that. Once you have foolishness out, your base attack will be a 6 with the machete.
If you need a bigger attack against something nasty, you can play "mind over matter" and hit with your double reliable machete. This will give you a base attack of 6, possibly a 9 (for the entire turn) if you have both foolishness and Dr milan out as well as st huberts key.
You probably won't need "keen eye" at all, but it's there since you don't have any skill cards to help early game while you're still setting up your board.
Colt is there as a backup plan for those enemies that want you to hit them with a ranged weapon and also if you are surrounded and can't pull off machete.
Finally, working a hunch is for those times you get punished for investigating a location or find yourself in an extremely high shroud location or one that takes multiple actions to investigate (such as a locked door).

Surprised no comments here. Your stuff on YouTube is just so awesome. I'm about to give this a go, starting with the starter version and a Yorick soak deck for a partner.
