THIS SERIES OF DECKS HAVE NOW BEEN REVISED PLEASE SEE THESE LINKS FOR THE NEW DECKS USING THE SAME CONCEPT BUT BASED ON MORE EXPERIENCE:

This is one of five decks designed to create as close possible to a pick up and play version of the base game from 2 core sets. The intention is that with all 5 constructed, up to 4 players can simply select the character of their choice needing only to transfer the following 6 cards from whichever char is not in play to any deck missing them:

2x Flashlight,

2x Knife, and

2x Emergency Cashe

All other cards have been distributed among the five chars in such a way as to make legal decks which are (hopefully) functional and reasonably thematic. Basically a rationalisation of the starter decks from the manual. Obviously this has required the odd compromise, so please do not expect these to be strong decks or all choices to be perfectly thematic but ive done what I can. Finally, these are very much work in progress, so any suggestions are welcome, but please be aware that adding a card to one char requires taking it from another.

The other decks can be found here:

Playing as Roland:

This federal agent is combat trained and neurotic to the bone making him a reliable combatant and a diligent sleuth who doesn’t back down. With access to a wide arrange of weapons, including his very own 38 special, and a high base combat stat he can pack a decent punch. But Roland thrives best where clues are to be found and with numerous cards feeding him bonus clues and the ability to hoover them up as he fights, he is very efficient at gathering evidence passively while doing other things. He’s going to need them though if hes going to unearth that cover-up before they get away with it. Nothing bothers him more than one that gets away and that mental trauma is crippling with only 5 starting sanity. At least that first aid course he took included a crash course in psychology which might help stop him finally cracking completely. His allies are largely disposable perhaps reflecting deeper relationship problems. Maybe with a bit more experience around others he`ll finally be able to convince that beat cop to stop leaving after every fight he gets into.

This was the first deck I ever tried after getting my two cores and it was great. Thank you for posting it.

Thank you very much! im actually in the process of tweaking these a little after a couple of games. Hoping to have slightly better versions soon now i have a bit better grasp of the game balance. This deck is very cash hungry for example. Going to try to strip it back and focus on firearms to give him a little bit more direction and consistency.
