This card is crazy good for Tommy. I use In the Thick of It to include it into my initial deck, since its soak covers two phisical traumas and provides some more additional utility. As I understand, Combat Training also doesn't prevent you from moving damage on your investigator card via Solemn Vow since there is no "assigning damage" in this scenario (correct me if I'm wrong).

There is no explanation if moving health tokens works according to the rule for taking damage. Most of the people use the restrictions of taking damage also for moving health tokens. — Tharzax · 1
Moving damage is not assigning. Chrome is correct. — NarkasisBroon · 10
The problem with moving token begins when move a token, which you aren't allowed to place on any card like the damage token. If there is no step like the assigning damage during taking damage you are technically allowed to put the tokens on any card even if they don't have a health pool like relentless. But without any further ruling you have to decide on your own how to handle moving health and horror tokens. — Tharzax · 1

Like the others, it's a major improvement on the initial set of composures. But, like the seeker's card, guardians may struggle keeping it in play if they lack the horror soak.

All of the fighty guardians (and Lily) enjoy the fist stat boost of course. Mark probably benefits the most from this card, which fits thematically. He really loves the extra damage soak as it will help keep him from getting too guilty over Sophie and even boosts his card draw. He might even like the foot stat boost as well to help pull off some quirky tactics-based extra long-range sniping. NaCho can also use it to boost his fight stat on the events that he plays. If you plan on using some of the new cards included in EOTE, they also work well with the 2 stat boosts.

Ironically, the 2 guardians who are the least likely to have combat training probably like it the most. Carolyn can use it to funnel resources into evasions in an emergency, but she'd rather gang up on her enemies. Mary can use it to boost her average fight stat. And they both enjoy the damage soak.

Can't wait for an agility-based guardian to come out and start putting that foot boost to good use! Oops, she's in a different class!

You may want to consider tommy, its a fast 3 health soak emergency cache that gives +1 to combat for some amount of time. — Zerogrim · 284
Also if Tommy is running the Star it's even more soak, and Tommy has some good uses for feet, for example track shoes — NarkasisBroon · 10
That's true, Tommy can really increase the longevity of this card and greatly increases its utility. — Tay5967 · 18
If you are looking for agility-based guardian, she was introduced along with this card. Lily Chen is a guardian actually and butterfly swords love this card's double boost. As well as some other cards for Lily that use combined STR+AGI stats. — chrome · 52
