Well-Prepared Skids 44xp

My end-of-campaign deck for skids.

As the name suggests, the highlight of playing this deck was the fanatic Well Prepared, which basically grants him a free Guts or Overpower every turn, provided you also have Physical Training in play. This, along with Physical Training itself essentially solves his willpower problem. This really sets him apart from Finn, who currently is basically forced to assume failure on all willpower tests.

If you need, Well Prepared can also become a Manual Dexterity when targeting Pickpocketing. I probably wouldn’t go down this path, but I guess you could even throw in Lola Santiago and complete the set of skill cards. It’s a great card.

Of course, this isn’t taking into account the card draw that comes with those cards. I did try out Lucky Cigarette Case but Pickpocketing was intended to replace it, and I found I wasn’t passing by 2 often enough. However, that was before I upgraded to Vicious Blow and Switchblade, so I may not have given it enough of a chance. I guess you could have both, I’m just not sure where I’d fit it.

The rest is all pretty standard skids. As much resource generation as possible, as he really can’t have too much. I actually used Machete for most of the campaign and Switchblade was a real last minute addition. It isn’t necessary, though it does combo nicely with Vicious Blow as they both have the pass by 2 requirement.
