I'm trying out my first solo build for Finn. I want to maximize on his strengths which of course are investigating and running away! So I have minimal combat options and am running both ally static boosters for Finn's main stats.
I was considering Leo De Luca instead of Peter Sylvestre, but Finn can already cheat out an action and with Finn's low willpower, I feel Peter will be needed to take the incoming horror the mythos deck throws at me. Obviously the plan will be to take Charisma soon
My last set couple of out of faction picks went to Lucky! mainly due to me being obsessed with this card. I think its probably the best basic survivor card in the game O.o
Let me know what thoughts you may have on a better setup! Thanks!

Jul 06, 2018Hi Apotropaic! Thanks for the suggestions. Logical Reasoning is better than I thought. For some reason, I was under the impression you lost your clue when using it. But at second glance you just need to have a clue! I am playing Carcosa for reference. Did pretty poorly in the first scenario. I got hit with a bad Rotting Remains and unfortunately kept pulling -4 and broken tablets causing Finn to go insane just as I reached the objective. Here's to seeing if I can fair a lil better at a dinner party! |
Greetings! So, depending on the scenario you're doing you definitely want to consider 2 copies of Logical Reasoning if you end up taking too much horror or are too terrified to do certain actions.
Your choice of Quick Thinking is great in Finn, but without Daring Maneuver it might be all for nothing, as that combined with Quick Thinking makes sure you get an extra action if you need it, or an extra damage from .41 Derringer.
If you're playing solo, depending on scenario again, and you need a bit more damage you can't go wrong with at least 1 copy each of Sneak Attack and Backstab. Haven't tried running lucky with Finn, how is it?
