This deck served me well going through Carcosa with Rex. I should have added to the title and made it: Zoey Kills Some Stuff, Tries Not to Have a Breakdown, & Surprises Herself by Having a CLUE in Carcosa! I guess that wouldn't have fit though.

I have found Stick to the Plan to be an awesome card in all of my Guardian decks, especially when I have an Ever Vigilant in there to kick off the beginning of a scenario. I also stick an Emergency Cache and Dodge in there. Zoey usually had a ton of resources by the end of the game, but I felt better knowing that I could get out my allies, weapons, and/or Rite of Seeking early on without waiting for enemies to make her flush.

I was so happy that Zoey actually pulled her wait with clue gathering, too! I mean, Rex did most of the heavy lifting, but, with this deck, I never felt like Zoey was useless if there wasn't an enemy around because she was still getting clues using Rite of Seeking and Scene of the Crime.

I took out my "On the Hunts" by the end because I was finding that the enemies were inflicting so much horror and bringing out so much doom, that I was almost better off just taking the risk of another encounter card--especially with Zoey's rating and the fact that she was being an effective clue gatherer. Also, there is some inefficiency where I added a second Leo De Lucalate in the campaign. (However, since I was playing pretty effectively without Charismafor the first five scenarios, having two Leos would probably have been just hand clutter.)

As I mention above, usually, by the end of a scenario, Zoey had a pretty massive cash reserve, but that was in large part to the fact that I only saw her cross a couple times across all of the scenarios. It does make me think about adding in a Keen Eye if I ever use a similar deck build again. If you consider basing a build off of this one, I would recommend considering throwing one in if you have the XP to do it, since it is permanent and doesn't take a deck slot anyway.

Oh! And Zoey and Rex got the best ending for the Carcosa campaign! Unbelievably, she didn't even go mad! I couldn't believe Zoey went into the last scenario with just two mental trauma which she healed before she got the requisite scenario beat down. She could have fairly easily go into the final scenario with just one mental trauma, but I ignored Smite the Wicked in the penultimate scenario to get more XP (and to beat the clock).

To be transparent, this time, my husband and I played on Easy. I just needed an easier go before we stumble blindly and painfully through Forgotten Age, and we had been having some brutal beat downs that I needed to salve my wounds from recently. That said, I think this deck would still work well at a higher difficulty--especially with Keen Eye.
