Lola Hayes is amazing because she can play the best cards from all the spheres, but is hampered by only being able to use the cards she's currently in the sphere of. In order to capitalize on this, I focus on mystic as her primary active sphere, with passives in her peripherals.
This deck is focused on investigation early game with the potential to fit any role late game.
Special Notes:
-
Card draw is exceptionally risky. With two Crisis of Identity threatening to remove vital assets from play, I hate drawing blindly.
-
Resource draw may be an issue but is hopefully balanced with Alchemical Transmutation, Emergency Cache and Improvisation.
- Passives are key.
Key cards:
- Alyssa Graham - passive intellect for early investigation plus protection from Crisis of Identity.
- Leo De Luca - Less important than Alyssa, but still valuable, especially after getting Charisma.
- Dark Horse - Vital for rounded abilities.
- No Stone Unturned - Without the right cards Lola is useless, this allows for deck searching without risk of drawing Lola's weakness.
Upgrades:
- Charisma - Either Leo and Alyssa or Alyssa and Peter, this card is a must.
- Peter Sylvestre - Passives to two stats including willpower which Lola desperately needs.
- Spirit Athame - Fantastic for spells and gives some more fighting ability if necessary.
- Will to Survive - Works will with spells especially since they are all powerful but are Chaotic. Also works well with the extra action from Leo De Luca.
Replace:
- Lantern - These suck. They're good for early investigation, but the risk of loosing your other red assets is scary. I'd rather only spend time in red to play cards.
- Guts/Perception - Card draw is too risky
- Leo De Luca? - Good card, but if you're uncomfortable running 5 copies of assets with the chance that you'll draw an ally you can't play, you may consider removing one.
