This deck tries to make the best use of Sefina's brilliant 13 card starting hand and to transition out of her lacklustre end game to use another Investigators abilities via Transfiguration
Memories of Another Life is the other fun open ended card that completes Sefina's descent into madness.
Transfiguration
The best candidates for Transfiguration considering the assets chosen in the deck were often either Ursula Downs or Rita Young depending on how heavy the Scenario was with fight requirements or clue finding. Really though it is very open ended decision and you have lots of choices and choosing the best Investigator for the scenario was quite fun. I would recommend for group play to plan out which 3-4 investigators you want to target before so you don't bog down play while deciding. Other good choices from my experience were Marion Tavares due to a high number of events and most Mystics to leverage high Willpower with Close the Circle. I chose to include In the Thick of It for the quick exp boost but be mindful of your damage from trauma when transforming additionally be careful with investigators that give unfiltered card draw as Stars of Hyades can quickly ruin your day since there is not a lot of soak in the deck by default. Last note on Transfiguration is that after you play it the cards under your investigator are stuck. You can use The Painted World to copy them but you cannot draw them any more. I often found myself leaving one to two events there to be targeted by your weakness but its still worth being mindful of as at least on one occasion I trapped a card I needed/wanted to use.
Memories of Another Life
This is a wonderfully powerful card and there are some great options and I love how it is simply a more versatile version of Versatile. I often used it to pick up Track Shoes as a good static stat boost with some action compression chances but it is very versatile. Late iterations of the deck used it to pick up Eldritch Sophist to complete the ridiculous combo of The Red Clock and Close the Circle. Early game it can boost your economy if necessary with Bank Job really the options are endless but I often found myself coming back to the same 2-3 cards. I would recommend in group play again to have 3-4 options in mind so you don't slow play down too much diving through your entire collection.
Economy
Economy in this deck is a balance between Easy Mark and Lone Wolf. I was often able to get at least one copy of Easy Mark beneath Sefina to copy with The Painted World and having an effective extra copy in the deck found it easy to play 2-3 copies at the same time quite early. If your group doesn't mind tokens you could try Faustian Bargain instead or even in addition but I found it worked out well enough that this wasn't required.
Mindless Ramblings
One off assets vs duplicates. I found especially after I included Black Market in the deck that having one of each Asset was more than enough as I would draw through the deck quite fast through the combination of Black Market, Cigarette Case and some investigators abilities. It's still important to have two copies of core cards as it's easy to lose one to the Mythos or a dreaded on a test with Memories but aside from a pair of Transfigurations and Memories of Another Life I ran mostly singleton upgrades meaning I would upgrade one assets into another card that helped the deck along. Upgrading the Lucky Cigarette Case is a luxury upgrade that I heavily recommend as it can help you Dodge drawing your weaknesses mid turn but you could just as easily run either version of Eon Chart.
Enraptured has some great synergy with cards like Close the Circle and the Red Clock either really quickly boosting your economy by turning secrets into resources on the clock or secrets into basic actions on Close the Circle or Eon Chart. All of these options are further boosted by tossing in an Eldritch Sophist via Memories. These upgrades make the deck very powerful to play if you can get them all but considering how heavy the xp outlay is on getting them you will be in late game scenarios and will need them.
Many of the events in the deck are expensive to play and after getting the core Transfiguration and Memories upgrades that made this so much fun I quickly added in Chuck Fergus he wasn't the best option for some of the transformations as Allies with Raw stat boosts like Gené, Lola and Delilah might serve you better but he really helped with playing events as the option to have a , free or boosted event is great. I thought about using Bewitching but found taking 3 events out of the deck before your first hand was a big gamble on your start as you wouldn't always have enough to fill out the cards underneath Sefina even before taking out three events. I still think this could be good addition but I had 2/8 scenarios where I had a hard time filling out my starting events so for 6xp you might find better value elsewhere.
Optional Shenanigans
One note it is possible as Sefina to use both The Great Work and Charon's Obol for an extra 3 xp per scenario but I would not recommend this high risk high reward option for a blind play through as starting from scratch mid campaign can be devastating. If you have a good idea of the campaign though this could quickly accelerate your deck and be extremely rewarding.
I played a variation of this deck through The Circle Undone as true Solo and had a lot of fun. It is very exp hungry to get everything you might want but there are so many possibilities with the combination of a great start from Sefina and transitioning with fun assets from Memories and picking up new investigative abilities and a new stat line mid game.
