Let's Cut Off An Arm!

  • Difficulty ★★★★★
  • Enemy Management ★★★★☆
  • Clueing ★★★☆☆
  • Encounter protection ★★☆☆☆
  • Survivability ★★★☆☆
  • Economy ★★★★★
  • Card Drawing ★★★★☆

Role: Flex (Leaning Fighter)

With this deck you can have crazy turns after transfiguring into Marion Tavares:

Let's assume you have Shrine of the Moirai at your location. You can:

  1. Fast play Cheat the System, giving you 5 resources, draw a card with Marion's ability, then play Gang Up and fight at +5 and deal 6 damage in one attack!
  2. Recur Gang Up and your favorite card from discard using Shrine of the Moirai, and play Gang Up again to do another 6 damage!

You just did 12 damage to the boss in a single action! Then you have 2 actions to spare to do whatever you want! Use your clue events to clear locations, or teleport across the map with Join the Caravan! You can be whatever flex you want, but it relies on hacking that arm off, sorry Lola.

Strategy: Find Transfiguration ASAP, full mulligan for either Mr. Rook or Transfiguration. Your second priority is finding Crystallizer of Dreams, which will help you pass any test you need, especially with the high density of events in this deck. When using Mr. Rook, be mindful of your current role, as you will likely find a Crisis of Identity and need to discard a card matching your role.

Enemy Management: You have a lot of options, Gang Up deals with big enemies, while Spectral Razor or your Machete can deal with smaller threats.

Clueing: Grab 2 clues testlessly with Intel Report, or play Read the Signs and hope you get a symbol so you can play it every turn. You can always recur Read the Signs if you don't get your symbol. Both events will go into the Crystallizer of Dreams, allowing you to investigate with high intellect.

Card Draw: Marion will draw from her ability each turn, and her will always find something.

Economy: Bewitching thins your deck which gives you better odds to find what you need for the combo, while also giving you easy access to your economy needs like Easy Mark and Cheat the System. This deck is expensive with all the events you're playing!

0 / 3 XP: See the 3 XP Deck linked here.

Upgrade Path:

After each scenario, spend 1 xp on upgrading one of the 4 spells (for a discount!). The extra icon they provide is also useful for committing to tests from the Crystallizer of Dreams.
