This is a solo build for higher difficulties.
There is Flashlight, Working a Hunch, and Art Student for gathering clues.
To handle Roland's low sanity there are 7 allies that can soak up horror, Smoking Pipe which damage can also be assigned on an ally in play and Logical Reasoning.
The benefit of Inquiring Mind and Unexpected Courage is the flexibility they give to use them for any skill test.
As upgrades I recommend Charisma which makes sense in a build with that many allies. After that you should aim for Keen Eye which you can use to pump your intellect while there are no enemies in play or to pump your strength if there's a tough guy to beat. And then save your exp. for Key of Ys that helps you pump up your stats which is crucial on hard and expert mode. Elli Horowitz will help you fetch for this beauty.
As for the Dunwich campaign try to get Armitage in your deck. He will you provide you with ressources. During the campaign you'll find yourself taking ressources as actions for a good investment in your Keen Eye once you'll figure the time is right to go for the kill or investigation.

Dec 15, 2018Thanks for the input! Take the Initiative seems to fit very well in this deck. I'd probably cut Prepared for the Worst and 1x Smoking Pipe. I guess the success depends on the campaign. I only played the Dunwich campaign so far and was quite lucky I guess. Started with the house always wins where the big number of allies come in handy as you want do pitch one early in the scenario. The allies in the deck are meant do be sacrificed as they have done their job while entering play or do their job while getting damaged by enemies. The idea of the deck is that once you've got your few assets in play you focus on getting ressources for Keen Eye with backed up skill cards to pass the tests, this also reduces the chance of drawing your weaknesses or die by en empty deck. |
Dec 15, 2018Don't cut Prepared for the Worst mate!! A weaponless Guardian is a dead Guardian!! Take The Initiative is a good replacement of Overpower, especially since it seems that you do not really care about the card draw. |
I'm not sure how this deck is supposed to make it through in Expert, but, regardless, have you considered Take the Initiative?? It's an amazing card and I'm pretty sure it will work wonders in solo!! :)
