Kōhaku Inkman and Olive McWhite

Introduction

This is theoretical build I made noticing that Kohaku could be excellent seeker on his own, so why not make him even stronger in that field.

Overview:

Difficulty: ★★★★☆?
Enemy Management: ★★★★☆?
Clue-getting: ★★★★★?
Encounter protection: ★★★★☆?
Survivability: ★★★☆☆?
Economy: ★★★☆☆?
Card Drawing: ★★★☆☆?

Main Strategy:

Grab clues like a professional seeker and flood the bag with curse tokens to irritate your crew and gain extra perks. Hunt for blurse combination to trigger Paradoxical Covenant as often as possible. With many bag searching options like Dark Prophecy, Favor of the Moon, Olive McBride and probably Grotesque Statue later in game you can be prepared to pass every important test on automatic success.

Open your mind:

With your 4 you can start investigating without classic mystic solutions. You can easily increase your base value with St. Hubert's Key and further with Living Ink for a while. After you upgrade it with Macabre Depiction it can stay with you almost indefinitely. Play Eye of Chaos only if you have a lot of curses in the bag to speed up the clue gathering or omit it all together and exchange for sth else, like #Funky glasses later in game, or maybe #Guided by faith.

Teamwork and possible modifications:

Teamwork

The deck was built for solo chaos bag management, but you need to consider if your teammates can take some of the cards from their classes that have primarily strong influence on chaos bag like Book of Psalms or Keep Faith so you can include some strong mystic enablers like Drawn to the Flame, Delve Too Deep and Ward of Protection (there will be too many curses in the bag to use the #Ward of radiance).

Modifications

Eye of Chaos is quite expensive, you can switch it for Read the Signs and later for #Spectral glasses and if you want you can drop the Arcane Research in favor of In the Thick of It, but I think that later bonuses from upgraded Eye of Chaos will pay off in the end.

Other Cards:

Fight:

Occult Lexicon helps you with your signature weakness in a significant way, as you don’t have to engage the Weeping Yurei or pass any test to defeat it. To be more flexible or even in solo play use Armageddon and abuse it’s extra damage. Earn & draw:

Faustian Bargain and Deep Knowledge help you with tokens. After you play one of them, it’s pure gain for Voice of Ra, so remember to wait with it a little bit to fill the bag with gold. Don't forget that you can ue Blood-Rite to replenish your hand. Survival:

Book of Psalms not only floods the bag with blesses but also heals your innate trauma from Arcane Research.
