Vincent's mighty trouple
I - Concept :
Honestly, there isn’t much of a concept behind this deck. The main idea was simply to have two strong allies on the board for Vincent, enabling him to trigger his ability at least once—or even twice—per turn.
The twist? These two allies are stunningly beautiful and make your games much more enjoyable when they show up. Sure, that odd lady comes with damage and needs some time to get going, but Vincent can also rely on his beloved detective to soak even more and provide a boost once per turn (and sometimes twice).
POV : You are a curious medic who keeps falling for people with serious problems. You feel compelled to save them, no matter the cost—even if it worsens your own condition. Between a [a desperate woman who always ends up in bad situations] (/card/06118) and a tireless dream detective who always cheers him up, you're starting to realize that sexual orientation might truly be some sort of spectrum.
- Personal run : This deck managed to beat The Web of Dreams with a total of 25 XP (including the 10 XP granted by the conclusion and enemy cards). It starts off a bit slow (in terms of movement and action efficiency) and requires several assets in play to become viable. However, later in the campaign, almost every test becomes trivial thanks to the numerous boosts provided by assets and skill cards.
Even with terrible luck during my run (multiple autofail pulls in a row near the end), the deck still managed to beat the final boss in a single turn, with nearly full starting sanity and health remaining.

II - Main Strategy :
-
Always mulligan for a copy of Jessica Hyde to ensure you have On the Mend every turn to assign somwhere. every turn for assignment. Make Jessica your primary damage soak early on, and quickly play other useful assets using Ever Vigilant.
-
Since most enemies in this campaign have 3 health or less and often appear in swarms, Dynamite Blast is particularly effective—even the weaker version of the card. Thanks to Vincent's numerous soak and healing options, you can usually afford to stay at the blast zone while clearing out threats.
-
As you collect XP, your first priority should be Charisma, followed by Girish Kadakia— arguably Vincent’s best ally. Girish is a powerhouse who protects you from most damage and horror while offering continuous support throughout each scenario. His value shines especially in longer scenarios that slowly grind away at your health and sanity.
-
Since Vincent has a useless , you might want to boost yourself of evade enemies from time to time. Stunning Blow is a very good option, as well as Transmogrify. Sparrow Mask is very good to evade enemies too.
-
Vincent’s signature weakness is straightforward to handle unless you’re already in a tough spot with no cards available. Most of the time, you’ll heal it using Vincent’s ability or Inspiring Presence. Occasionally, Bizarre Diagnosis can remove it in a single action. Fun fact: in several games, I left it on the board, and it did nothing but soak a little damage—no real punishment for not healing it fully!
III - Upgrading paths :
-
Charisma should be one of your first upgrades. Then, if you lack some investigation power, upgraded your Magnifying Glass, take some Sharp Vision for double clues locations and/or take Scientific Theory (which also helps for combat.
-
If you struggle with enemies : Since Vincent's special weapon Bonesaw can only deal two damage per action, Brute Force is a very good way to oneshot all the 3 health enemies that would otherwise take too long to kill. It's also recusrive with Resourceful.
-
If you feel you are too slow or if your playing big maps campaigns like Innsmouth or Edge of the Earth : The addition of Pathfinder is a must. Hiking Boots can also be possible.
-
If you have some economy problems : consider taking the other copy of Ever Vigilant and play it when you have the best timing possible. It's such a good card for Vincent.
