Played this deck with Tony Morgan as a dedicated fighter and Carolyn Fern as a dedicated support, and Ursula managed to hold herself as the sole cluever pretty well!

Disclaimer:
- This deck cost a lot of xp but 11 of it didn't cost anything since Refine pay for Empirical Hypothesis and The Raven Quill xp costs, and The Raven Quill also pays itself. And you also have Charon's Obol at the start with In the Thick of It, so there's 14 granted xp. I managed to get the side deck upgrades of the upgraded Deduction and Perception, but not Antikythera or Prophesiae Profana, as I feel like that's too much resources and assets (instead got Spiritual Healing and Observed my beloved).
Set up:
-
Make sure you have at least a The Raven Quill in your starting hand, 2x Studious to boost the chance. Other good cards to start with are Abigail Foreman, Dr. Milan Christopher, Ariadne's Twine,, and Unearth the Ancients. (Unearth the Ancients with 2x Ariadne's Twine can make you discover a clue at a high shroud location with 0 difficulty).
-
Work hard to have Grim Memoir, 2x The Raven Quill, Abigail Foreman, 2x Ariadne's Twine, and Dr. Milan Christopher in play as The Raven Quill can ready Abigail twice and let you investigate a lot and possibly draw a lot of cards with Grim Memoir by spending 1 action and secret. Ariadne's Twine replenish this, and Dr. Milan Christopher can fund Ariadne's Twine. Knowledge is Power is super crazy with this combo.
-
The Red Clock, Eldritch Sophist, and Pendant of the Queen is a really good passive ability that you can abuse to have a permanent additional actions each turn + a free move or clue.
Notes:
-
Unlike my Carolyn deck, this deck can work by itself without relying on another investigator, as Carolyn Fern relies on Ursula's secrets (it actually works "better" since you could have 2x secrets for Grim Memoir with Ariadne's Twine, but you do not have an encounter protection unless someone else runs one that isn't relying on the Ariadne's Twine, you can struggle with the economy though if you're playing taboo'd Dr. Milan Christopher, so Carolyn could still be helpful).
-
If other investigators can run Safeguard, you can work as a transportation device for them.

i've only played Ursula once before and had a horrible time with her 4 , but I decided to play her here because of the idea of a seeker taking Charon's Obol and The Red Clock (which I didn't take before), and I had a fun time (and also because the only other investigator who can take this deck is Lucius Galloway and his stats and his weakness are "worse" than Ursula's and I prefer Ursula's ability).
