Upgrade Magnifying Glass first, you can return it to your hand for an extra Skill Icon once you draw The King in Yellow. You can also swap out your 2nd Shortcut once you have Pathfinder.

Alternative and Future Upgrades

• Dr. Milan Christopher (maybe with Charisma), if you have Problems with Ressources
• hIGhEr eDuCaTiOn, because you actually want to play Rex and pretty much always have enough cards
• Devil's Luck
• You can swap out some Skill cards, if you find that your team doesn't need them

Strategies

• Mulligan hard for Analytical Mind
• Draw Cards
• Use your Assets in Skill tests liberally and get them back via Scavenging
• Draw Cards
• Use No Stone Unturned to get Analytical Mind, then any vital Cards for your fellow investigators, then to get out Weaknesses when they are easy to deal with.
