Kate Can't Keep Track of her Clues

The plan behind this deck is to get double benefit out of moving clues around. First we keep enough Science and Tool assets in play to benefit from Flux Stabilizer, then we use clue-dropping and recovery to clear the assets to be ready to provide another +2 skill bump.

Will be used in our 4 blind run of Feast of Hemlock Vale (on Hard difficulty).

No mask? Intentional drop as expecting it not to refill enough many times or accidentally missing?

@Nekron314 Last minute cut since it wasn't Science, Tool, or clue-dropping. Also in 4p we often have the non-Seekers reveal locations to maximize Seeker turns. Agree that it's a great card for nearly any seeker.

your allies are all miskatonic, isn't it better to spend 1 exp over first charisma for archaeology funding? Great Deck, btw!

I'm a little suprised by your upgrade options for both myconid and the strange solution. It's like you didn't want to make your deck to powerful

@Weetaho It's definitely a viable option, and if I thought I was going to be tight on XP I would go for it. One benefit to having a bunch of cheap allies that have their primary benefit trigger when played (as opposed to a persistent stat boost or ability) is being free to kill them off with damage/horror. Miskatonic Archaeology Funding really cuts down on the ability to soak bigger hits like Failed Experiment. Realistically I'll probably only need/want one Charisma to keep Dr. William T. Maleson in play and cycle the other slot.

@Drostt I'll admit that using those cards at all is part theme and part wanting to use cards that I haven't used before. In lower player counts being able to delete an enemy with Carnivorous Myconid or cancel a treachery with Sentient Myconid are pretty major effects. And the pre-taboo Acidic Solution is classically powerful. However our 4-player group tends to hyper-specialize, so I'll have a full-time blocker (probably Silas for our blind run) exploring, fighting, clearing treacheries in my threat area, etc. In return, it's my job to clear out 1 to 1.5 locations worth of clues every turn regardless of shroud value. Actions spent doing anything else are typically wasted. With as much soak as Nurturing Myconid offers, and Dr. William T. Maleson letting me choose effects that deal damage/horror instead of loosing tempo, I can save my boosts for investigating and just take the Mythos phase on the chin and keep investigating.

Honestly I'm more worried about being able to get the first few clues to get this engine going Scene of the Crime almost made it in for that reason.

I built a similar deck, The Raven Quill seems really strong for this deck. When I play it the first 4xp is going to the quill to help search out Research Notes, after that it slowly builds its own xp over the game to free up a hand slot, give +2 to all checks and potentially ready up an empirical hypothesis by the end. To go along with it 1-2 Astounding Revelation with the Quill and research librarian for an almost free 2 resources with the deck wide search. The strongest thing you can do with this deck is get your research notes out as fast as you can.
